old router not connecting to new orbi wi-fi 6E
I have an old net gear router that all of my smart home devices are linked to and when I added an orbi system a few years back it was simpler to just plug my old router into the orbi and be done with it rather than reconfiguring every smart device to the orbi. I recently upgraded to the quad-band WiFi 6E Mesh system and when Inplug the old net gear router into it, it won’t connect. Any ideas out there?

Be sure it's configured for AP mode.
Why not use old SSID name on new Orbi system so you don't have to reconfigure those devices?
Why not use the IoT SSID network for your other devices on the new Orbi system?

I'd agree with FURRYe38, switch over to everything on the RBKE.
It might take some time to configure everything over but pick a ssid/password you want for the future.
That way anytime you upgrade/switch stuff, it'll just auto-connect.
Thats what I've been doing for the last 10 years and it makes things so much easier.
