skype for business kills router literally.
skype for business can destroy my router from working. it kills internet for all devices. it has happened 2 times this week.
it needs a reboot to work again.
when it doesn't destroy the router, it is very unstable, i might stay connected for 5 minutes.
This is not the issue that was around a week ago with dropped streaming things that needed firmware update.
vpn stays connected, games stay connected, streams stay connected, devices stay connected, remote desktop stays connected, anydesk stays connected. all things fine except for skype for business which kills router or is unstable.

Re: skype for business kills router literally.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?
What mode is the Orbi working in? Router or AP mode?
Are you wired or wireless connected to the Orbi?

Re: skype for business kills router literally.
Try your CTS and RTS values. If they are at 64, please change both to 2347. Reboot both RBR and wireless devices.
"We used RTS=64 by default as it help on reduce on re-transmission and contention in noise environment and help when client is at location far from Orbi device. If your environment is not congestive or clients are not far away, RTS=2347 should be better." Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Check with a wired connection to see if Skype still brings down the router.

wish you didn't just copy and paste the same answer.
none of the things in it should be needed. the problem is in the router software.

Re: skype for business kills router literally.
Try the suggestions.
Let us know if a wired connection works or not.
If they don't work, please file a support ticket with NG support:

I'm using Skype at home as well. However my RBK853 is in AP mode currently. Saw no issues since working from home. Wireless connected with a laptop.

Re: skype for business kills router literally.
My work LT has Skype for Business on it. Been using it all week. Made one phone call to a manager Tuesday, then received another call yesterday using it. Windows 10.
