AP Mode with Ethernet Backhaul with Firmware 2.5.1.16
I have an RBR50 in AP mode and an RBS50 using Ethernet backhaul. Previously I had read that when you use Ethernet backhaul, Orbi will show all devices connected thru the satellite as "wired" devices which is exactly what I saw. After installing the new Firmware 2.5.1.16 on both the RBR50 and RBS50, all the devices connected to the Satellite are now showing as Wireless 2.4G or 5G, however they still show connected thru the RBR50. As a matter of fact, on the Network Map, the Satellite shows Pink with no devices attached. I didn't read anything in the release notes saying something had changed in this regard. Can someone verify that what I am seeing is indeed the way it is intended to be?

Re: AP Mode with Ethernet Backhaul with Firmware 2.5.1.16
Is there switch in between the RBS and RBR?
Does the RBS appear correctly on the RBRs web page?
Has a factory reset been performed and setup from scratch?

Re: AP Mode with Ethernet Backhaul with Firmware 2.5.1.16
Yes there is a switch between the two. Does that make a difference?
On the webpage, the Satellite shows as a connected satellite with Good backhaul status. (Shows the Connection Type as 5G which is a bit confusing.) However, none of the 42 devices shows connected to it. They all show connected to the Main AP.
Also, on the Firmware Update page, the Satellite status shows "Waiting for Connection"
A factory reset and scratch setup has not been performed recently. If that is recommended, should I reconfigure it from the wired connection or from a wireless connection first?
Thanks!

Ok, this is a managed switch. These switches have been known to cause problems between RBR and RBS.
Check to see if you can disable the following on the switch, IGMP and Green Ethernet features. Then power off the RBS and RBR for 30 seconds then back on. Hopefully this will help get the RBS connected correctly.

Re: AP Mode with Ethernet Backhaul with Firmware 2.5.1.16
OK, IGMP and Green Ethernet were already disabled on the GS108t. To reiterate from my original post, everything seems to be working well and I can tell that certain devices do home on the satellite. (How can I tell this? Strength of connection, range of main and satellite, etc.) It's just that the Orbi app and webpage don't report things properly. Is that normal for a wired backhaul?

Ya, hopefully NG will figure the Orbi app out.
I would use the RBR and RBSs web page for now to see the status.
