Auto Update is Dead?
Looks like many have their wish.
Although V2.1.4.16 has been out for several weeks, I'm still sitting on V2.1.4.10.
No auto update. Nice... guess

Re: Auto Update is Dead?
I think they have quietly stopped them. A week ago I saw a notice about 2.1.4.16 being available when I logged in to my router and to 'click here' to download. I waited a week until clicking and then it seemed to update with no issue.

Re: Auto Update is Dead?
I had the same experience as Mayhugh1 today. I had seen the notice on the RBR50 landing page for some time. Finally clicked on it today. Updated to 2.1.4.16 with no problems.
I would be surprised if Netgear abandoned the automatic update completely. My GUESS is that there is a new status for update public availability:
First, Make update available on web, but not shown on the router.
Second, Show availability on router web landing page (NEW) and allow update from there.
Third, After some time push the update through on all routers.
This approach would slow the spread of new firmware. It would reduce -- but not eliminate -- the impact of problems in newer firmwares.
