BRS_wanlan_conflict.html with orbi - and connecting to webpages with often 404 (page exists)

ATT modem (uverse)

Orbi.

connect the orbi to ATT directly per instruction.

When my Orbi system is used I often get a pop-up message which asks for  login information to websites, or message that says no such webpage exist

The web adress is followed by - BRS_wanlan_conflict.html

It prevents me from using certain webpages.

Your ISP modem will already have a built in router. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Would it be convenient for you to post a screen shot of this message?  (i.e. make a screen capture of the message. save it to a PNG or JPG file.  then attach it to a message.)  If I read the Orbi web pages correctly, there should be an IP address included in the message.

Thank you!!!!!!!!  Following the Orbi manual instructions on setting the Orbi router to AP mode SOLVED THE PROBLEM. The hardest part was remembering my password to gain admin access my Orbi router -- I had to reset the password with the serial number of my Orbi Router after several failed attempts.

This happens when your ATT modem is a router and your Orbi is also a router, causing the Double NAT issue @FURRYe38 described.  You just need to put your Orbi in Access Point (AP) mode, so it provides just your wireless network, and leave the router function to your ATT modem: https://forums.att.com/conversations/att-fiber-equipment/brs_wanlan_conflict/5e728051c17a064135f077a...

From FURRYe38's reply here are the instructions to configure your Orbi in AP mode:

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
