    More information would be helpful:

    Blocking the device how?

    • Using a feature of Parental Controls?
    • Using the pause slider in the Orbi 'app'?
    • Using the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab, Security menu Access Control page to define the hardware MAC address as Blocked?

The obvious answer is, "of course."  Block something, and it stays blocked until you deliberately unblock it.

Why not  try an experiment?  Pick some device that is not particularly important right this second, block it, then wait an hour and try to connect it again. (Maybe an Amazon Fire tablet, smart plug, smart light bulb, etc.

If the device changes WiFi MAC address, then my guess is that the Orbi will not recognize it as 'blocked'.
