Ensure that if you use a network switch, that its a NON managed switch.

Re: Can you hardwire an Orbi Sattelite?
Ardulaidh:
Download firmware version 2.1.4.16 from https://www.netgear.com/support/download/.
Enter the version of your hardware in the Product Name/Model Number box,
From there you'll see the firmware versions for your router and your satellites. Download them. Unzip them once they have been downloaded.
Go to your router, click on Advanced, click on Administration, click on Firmware Update, click on Manual Update.
You must update your satellites first. So browse for the unzipped satellite file, and DO NOT click on Upload. Click on the check box beside the satellite you wish to update, and click on Update. Follow the prompts from there.
Once your satellites are updated, update the router. Browse for the unzipped router file, and click on Upload. Follow the prompts from there.
That should allow you to update both your satellites and your router.

Ardulaidh:
I gave you the first firmware version available for download on the Netgear website: 2.1.4.16.
That is available for RBK50.
