Hi,
Since switching to Orbi, I've not been able to connect to my Synology NAS in any way - SMB, HTTP / HTTPS... Nothing.
My (wired) setup is:
[ISP Router] <-> [RBR-50] <-> [Synology NAS]
I alsos have an RBR-20 placed elsewhere in my house as wifi extender, and I have that attached to my desktop with a cable.
I am connecting to my network wirelessly onto the RBR-50's wifi from my laptop.
I know the Synology Nas is started and available, since the Orbi App lists it in the list of devices.
I believe I set the IP of the NAS to a fixed IP on my old network - 192.168.2.8 - and Orbi lists it as it's currect IP as well. But - again, though it looks to be connected and available, I just can't access it!
Can anyone help me?

Is the IP address set ON the NAS or reserved ON the RBR?
If the IP address is set ON the NAS, set the NAS to auto obtain IP addressing and reboot the NAS.
If you set a Static IP address ON the NAS, make sure it's with in the same IP address string as whats on the Orbi, 192.168.1.#
Make sure your RBRs IP address pool is set for 192.168.1.100 thru .200, then you have room on either side of this pool for static IP addressed devices. Like NAS, Cameras and devices that don't need to be managed by the RBR.
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too? Built in router here? If so,
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
