Change Connection Type from 5G to Wired (RBK23)
Hi there, when I set up my router and satellites all the devices were connected to the same switch. As it turns out, - one of the satellites is now indicated to be connected with connection type 5G...

Ok. So that configuration should work well.

Sorry, it was a typo. The correct model is a TP-Link TL SG5428

Thanks for your advice. Am I correct that your proposal requires a factory reset?
"migration to ethernet" means "migration to wired connection" or changing the connection to use the switch?

Ok, that switch is a managed switch. Please ensure all IGMP protocols on this switch are disabled. This has been known to cause problems between RBR and RBS when ethernet connected to switches. Try this first.

IGMP is already disabled ..... :-(

Do both RBS show as wired connections when directly connected to the back of the RBR with out the switch in the middle?

The RBK23 router has only two sockets for LAN cabels:
- the yellow one, which connects to my firewall router (via the switch)
- and a white one
I now connected in the satellite, which was originally connected via 5G, directly with the router with a LAN cable.
After a few "config sync" runs, it now appears to be connected "wired"!!!!
Yeah!
Interestingly, the connection between the two satellites is still daisy chained.
I wonder what to do next. Do you recommend to use a simple unmanaged switch to connect just the two satellites with the white socket of the router - and still connect the router (yellow socket) with my firewall router via the (managed) switch ?
Or do you think that after the connection has changed that the connection type will remain "wired" even if a reconnect the satellite via the switch? Do I need the connection with the white socket of the router if I want to establish a wired connection to a satellite?
