Connecting to a satalite
My music streamer only connects to RBK50,which is one floor up.
the result is an intermittent connection.
I have a satalite 10 feet away and will not connect to it (as per the device manager app)
the music streamer is a Cambridge Audio CXN v2. It only receives at 2.4 not 5
any thoughts here ? I have numerous devices opening just fine with the ORBI

Re: Connecting to a satalite
How close is the satellite to the router?
they need 30ft minimum in between the satellite and the router.

Re: Connecting to a satalite
Try rebooting your music streamer, and then see if it binds to the satellite instead of the router. If so, then you may need to reduce the power of the 2.4GHz WiFi signal so that it binds to the satellite instead of the more-distant router, This race condition occurs because the router WiFi is enabled before the satellites, so clients may bind to the router before seeing that a stronger signal is available from a closer satellite. Devices like this are not expected to Roam, so they will not check periodically for a better signal.
