Device connected to RBR50 without password

I purchased an air filter with an app that allows function based on air quality. I did not set up the app, however found a “computer” connected to my system from Shenzhen Along Investment. How was it able to connect without the password? And although I unplugged the filter the computer cannot be deleted as it never shows as offline. The status shows orange, not green or offline and has for days. How do I purge this from my network?

As that internet article points out, the only way a device can connect to WiFi only by submitting a valid password OR if the WiFi network does not require a password.  Is the Orbi "guest" WiFi activated?  Does it have security with a password?

Any device that is wired to the Orbi connects without entering credentials.  Presumably whoever plugged in the ethernet cable had permission to do so.

It sounds like this information is coming from the Orbi "app".  It might be worth a few minutes to bring up the Orbi web interface and look at the Attached Devices page.  This will verify how the device is connected and its MAC address.  Most WiFi devices have the MAC address printed on the product label, which would confirm that it is actually the filter.
