Expanding Orbi System
I am moving my home office into the basement and wonder how best to proceed with Orbi. I do not plan on relocating my modem and thought an additional Satellite into the basement would work well.
Is it possible to add a Satellite connected by Ethernet from the Orbi router? Than I would have the Orbi satellite in my basement and could connect work laptop and any other devices to the Satellite by Ethernet (to maintain a great speed to the laptop is most important) while providing a better WIFI in the basement at same time.
Does this sound like a good plan?

Re: Expanding Orbi System
Yes, indeed. You need a satellite with at least two ethernet ports. (one for the backhaul link and one for devices in the basement - user a cheap switch if you wind up with a 2-port satellite.) The Orbi RBS50 has four ports, which allows one for backhaul and 3 for devices. The RBS20 has exactly two.l
