Failed DNS Orbi
I keep getting failed domain name resolution errors, and they are really becoming problematic for me. I see there was some issues with Orbi systems a year or two ago that was allegedly solved with a firmware update, tunring off traffic meter or turning off DST. But I have the latest firmware on my RBR50 and satellites (v2.7.4.24) and I don't have traffic meter on anyway. Any suggestions on how to fix?
EDIT: I just looked at the log in the Orbi router and see a lot of DoS Attack logs...kinda concerning, no?

Re: Failed DNS Orbi
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
What devices do you see this on? Mobile and PCs?
Did this just start happening or has been on going?
Be sure to check out NGs download pages or here in the forums for FW update information:

Re: Failed DNS Orbi
Could be the ISP's dns server.
Try a different DNS Server. Here's a few. Also remember to change the ipv6 dns server if ipv6 is enabled.
CloudFlare
IPv4: 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1
IPv6: 2606:4700:4700:0:0:0:0:1111 and 2606:4700:4700:0:0:0:0:1001
GoogleDNS
IPv4: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
IPv6: 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:0:8888 and 2001:4860:4860:0:0:0:0:8844

Re: Failed DNS Orbi
Hello @lnjustin ,
Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!
I understand that you are having issues resolving DNS using your RBR50 Orbi Mesh System. This issue is usually caused by misconfigured DNS settings. Please navigate to your DNS settings in your RBR50 to change the IPv4 DNS settings.
Users with similar issues have reported that using the following IPv4 addresses resolves this issue:
- Primary IPv4: 8.8.8.8
- Secondary IPv4: 8.8.4.4
The latest Firmware for your RBK50 now is FW v2.7.5.4 for both the router and attached satellites:
Please navigate to the link below for the download file for your RBK50:
