How do I assign a static IP address to my Brother MFC-L8900CDW printer?
Router Orbi RBR40
Printer is on the wireless network
IMac is LAN via ethernet only
I need to add the printer to the iMac with a static IP address

There are two ways to go about this, fix the address on the printer or reserve the address on the router.
For the second approach, read the section in the manual Manage reserved LAN IP addresses.
For the printer itself, you will have to ask the people who made it. That setting is usually somewhere on the software to manage the network interface.
It is down to you to decide which works best for your circumstances.
