How do you close open ports?
I have been running port scans using nmaps and other software. It that shows there are 9 open ports. If I use an online check to see if these ports are open they are reported as closed. Should ...

I get this report if i run nmaps locally using my local ip number for my router (192.168.x.x)
All ports shown as 'stealth, when using shileds up.

If 53 is not open, no device will be able to access the internet in any practical way. Port 80 is used to administer the Orbi.
Since these are all on the LAN side, I do not see these as an issue (although I will continue to look at them).
MUCH more interested in what Gibson says about from the WAN side (where the bad guys are).
