How to find manufacture year of the ORBI Router

 

I have puchased a new Router (RBK50) from Amazon and as per Netgear Technical team, it was manufactured 2016 and refurbished. Amazon is saying that it is a new router. I have connection issues and Technical support team has advised to change the router. Is there a way to find the the manufacture year and whether it is new or refurbished?

I don't believe so...no dates are printed on the bottom sticker.

The serial number almost certainly lets Netgear know when it was manufactured.  Nothing visible to the user.
