I want to expand WiFi coverage in the basement when I now have an Orbi RBR20 and a RBS20.
Have been quite happy with my Orbi 20 system but my WiFi in the basement sometimes drops off for a seond or two.
Is it worth it to add another sattelite to the system or just buy a 3 pack of a newer system.
Currently WiFi is great at ground level , even in the yard. It is the basement quality I want to repair.
I have a Cat5 cable to the basement on a Sonos stereo , which I have now connected as WiFi. That gives me a hardwire connection to the Router.
Suggestions?
What are worthy upgrade options?
Thanks ... your gear is awesome and has been for 3 years.

Amazon has had the RBS40V for around that $100 lately. Gets you the satellite plus pretty decent audio. Probably not sonos level but decent.
Might be worth it before trying to buy a whole new system.

I agree with @plemans . The RBS40V is a good price. Not stereo, of course. This postpones a MAJOR WiFi upgrade investment until the situation has become more certain. (which version of WiFi6 will prevail? Which brand offers the optimal combination of features/price/performance? etc.)
It might be worth taking a minute to describe basement WiFi "dropping off". Is this when moving around with a mobile device or the bahavior of something that is fixed in place? (Sonos, perhaps?)
