Mines on v2.5.1.8 however, I don't have this same ISP modem. Mines cable modem with no built in router or wifi. My RBR50 sees near 900Mbps on the down however was on v40 FW when this was taken:
Seen others with these bad speeds with these ATT gatway modems.
You at least should see near 900Mpbs while in AP mode. :smileyfrustrated:

So, setting the Orbi in AP mode ... Will both the main unit and the satellite behave as the way they are when they were in router mode? Will the main unit still talk to the satellite, thus, my wifi coverage remain unchange?
I guess I don't really care if Orbi is in router or AP mode as long as the speed and coverage is where it needs to be.

Yes the RBR and RBS will will have wifi MESH running. Just all the other routing and router features will be disabled on the RBR. RBS will works as a satellite.
I would first test the RBR alone in AP Mode with out the RBS. Make sure your getting good speed with a wired PC first. Then add the RBS later. Wireless speed will usually max out at round 400-500Mbps depending on wifi devices and it's support and design. You'll not see any near 900Mpbs speeds testing with wireless.

With your latest comment ... I am already getting around 450-ish on my iPhone and like 500 on my Mac all wirelessly. I was not able to test direct hook up to the modem with my Mac because I don't have the right USB-C ethernet adapter yesterday. I will be able to test tonight with direct hook up to the modem, though!
Base on your comment, it already reached the max speed wirelessly it is capable of delivering ... If I understand you correctly.
I was taken back when I saw the Orbi admin page speed test showing download speed of under 500 mbps and upload speed of 900 mbps while the ATT rg speed test is 900 mbps up and down.
So changing to AP mode techically will not improve my situation, correct?

Yes, your reaching good speeds on wifi and there maxing out. For those devices. I to have a mac book pro with USB C and had to get a LAN to USB C adapter. Mine sees near 900Mpbs on wired for sure.
I would avoid using the speed test app on the RBR. Use Ooklas installable speed test app. Found in the apple store or on there web site for windows.
Probably not. If your getting near 900Mpbs when you can test a wired connection, and your already getting near 400-500Mbps on Wifi, then the Orbi is working as expected...
