ISO: A reasonably priced Orbi satellite
A whole Orbi system, the AC2200, consists of a router and a single satellite, and can be had for $199. One could fathom that if purchased individually, the router might be the more costly of the two, so a satellite should run $80 or $90. Reasonable, right? Well, I am pretty annoyed that I can't seem to find a "reasonable" price for a standalone satellite (like RBS40). The list price seems to be $199, which isn't just annoying, it's like punishing the customer for not buying up. Outside of eBay, I can't find much of anyone who deviates from the list price, and the eBay folks are charging $20 for shipping.
I don't like feeling ripped off, yet, here we are. I'm seriously considering just dumping this system. Netgear: Do you like pissing off your customers? FIX YOUR PRICING.
Does anyone know where one could buy an unused orbi satellite for $100 or less?

What is the SQ ft of your home?
I would avoid places like ebay. Most satellies come in KITS. NG can't control what ebay sellers charge for shipping. Check with Amazon as they have good return policies. Maybe BestBuy, Frys or Costco. If you dont' have a costco membership, find a friend that does.

Re: ISO: A reasonably priced Orbi satellite
@FURRYe38, I think you're missing the point of @tinymonkey1's point.
I'm in the same boat. I bought a system, and have now discovered (based on building materials, location of ethernet, etc) that the placements of my Orbi's necessitate at least one more satellite so I can achieve optimal WiFi coverage (particularly in outdoor areas).
I've been waiting to see if Orbi's satellite's will go on sale, or if Netgear will release a product that is a little more reasonably priced. I honestly cannot justify $240CAD for a satellite, just to be able to get Wifi in my basement or on the back patio.
While Netgear cannot control the prices ebay sellers are charging for shipping, they can control the MSRP of their products. Like @tinymonkey1, I too have been considering if the wifi product I chose was the best, and am considering swapping it out for something that is cheaper to expand as my needs grow.

Re: ISO: A reasonably priced Orbi satellite
And users have the option to take there systems back and get the Orbi system that has the additional satellite as well if your in the return time frame. Marketing and the market is what drives prices and NG has to be competative with other Mfrs as well. They price I presume accordingly.
