Is Netgear recommending downgrading from 2.1.2.18 to 2.0.1.4?
Hi all,
Got an email from netgear to upgrade my router firmware. When I got to the download page, I see that version v2.0.1.4 is the latest firmware, and my current firmware version installed on my router and sat is v2.1.2.18. When attempt to flash, the system is suggesting it is an older firmware and ask if I want to continue. Should I roll back my firmware to 2.0.1.4?
thanks

Re: Is Netgear recommending downgrading from 2.1.2.18 to 2.0.1.4?
.v.18 was pulled from automatic update due to users reporting bad problems with it. Thus NG recommended for users having issues with that version of FW, downgrade to v2.0.1.4.
However there is a newer Beta FW that seems to have better experiences found here:
Users of 50 series models are encouraged to upgrade to this version of FW.
Please do a factory reset on both router and satellite(s) after loadings this version of FW and setup from scratch.
