Is my Orbi RBR50 compatible with fiber optic wifi?
We are switching from cable to Tachus fiber optic for internet. Is my RBR Orbi compatible? Specifically if it is can it handle a 1 Gig speed?

Orbi has it's own WiFi radio and doesn't connect to other wifi radios.
The connetion rate for Orbi is 866Mpbs on the frong haul 5Ghz radio so you'd not see anything near 900Mpbs on wireless speed tests.
1733 is on the wireless back haul for the RBS which no users can connet too, it's only for the RBS back haul.
Most currently AC wifi devices max out at around 400-500Mpbs anyways unless you have AX supporting devices.

Which devices will be installed with Tachus Fiber? What is included and what is additional?Tachus Fiber Internet plans include:
• A Fiber optic cable, which will bring the fiber connection into your home
• A network device, which will provide wired connectivity to devices throughout your home
You may purchase a WiFi access point from Tachus or use your own.
Sounds like you'll be faced with placing the Orbi in AP mode
