Is the switch used for wired backhaul dedicated for this?
Hi all,
Thinking of getting an Orbi RBK23 system but I'd like to set it up with wired backhaul.
Because I've got an older home I dont have ethernet cables running all over so I've gotta work with what I have...
If I use a small switch that connects the Orbi main router with Orbi Satellites for the backhaul connection (star connection). Can I also connect other devices to that switch or can it only be Orbi satellites??
RBK50 vs 23 memory is 4GB vs 256MB, thats a big difference but what would it matter??
(Oh yeah, can I assume the chromecast problems are solved as I dont read a lot on that in the later posts 🙂 )
Thanks!
Dirk

Yes you can have other devices on the interconnecting switch. Make sure its a NON Managed or NON Smart switch.
You can see differences between models here:

Look under the specs for each model
