Issues connecting HEOS systme with RBR50

Hello, I've been having issues keeping my HEOS system on my Orbi network. I called HEOS and they recommended upgrading the router. My question is this... if I upgrade the router to AC2200 will the 2 statelites which came with the RBR50 system still work or do I need to upgrade the entire system? Has anyone else had this issue and upgraded to resolve? What was the outcome? Thank you.

N600 is 300Mbps UP and Down connection rate between older generation routers and client devices on 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz N mode. Todays newer generation routers are 600Mpbs on 2.4Ghz N mode and 866-1300Mbps on 5Ghz AC mode. Not sure who at HEOS your talking to however whom ever said this may not be giving you accurate information or fully understand todays wifi routers.
The Orbi can fully support this music system I believe.

Re: Issues connecting HEOS systme with RBR50
what is thie HEOS system? A device or IoT?
The Orbi is a newer generation router which has only been out for a bit over 2 years. Still a good system and getting fw updates. The RBR50 is a AC3000 system and an AC2200 system is similar however it's backhaul is limited to 866Mb where the 50 series has a 1700Mb wireless backhaul. The AC2200 would be in part a downgrade in router system.

Re: Issues connecting HEOS systme with RBR50
When I talked with HEOS support they said the router needed to be at least N600. I am not sure what that means. Is the RBR50 at least N600?

Re: Issues connecting HEOS systme with RBR50
What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
Try some of these suggestions.
What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
I presume if this is the only devices that exhibits issues, then this maybe a HEOS problem...Something HEOS will need to review.
