Just got RBK50. Devices are refusing to connect to satellite.
So i got the RBK50 today and set it up.
Signal strength is good. They are about 10-13m/35-40ft away from each other separated by 3 walls.
I go to the back of the house with he satellite being the closest and the signal drops asway as I am away from the router but it is not connecting to the satellite at all. If I disconect wifi on my phone and reconect on that wide of the house, it still won't connect to the sattelite.
Firmware Version: V2.7.3.22
Everything has connected itself to the router, ignoring the satelite when when the signal from the satelite is much stronger.
I am not very tech savy so I got this becuase apparently the settup and use was easy but there is nothing easy about this at the moment.
I don't understand what I am doing wrong.

Re: Just got RBK50. Devices are refusing to connect to satellite.
I might be worth a couple of minutes to verify that the satellites are sync'd to the router correctly.
My preference is to use the Orbi web interface (http://orbilogin.net) and bring up the Attached Devices display.
Satellites are shown at the top of the page. The connection should be "5G" and "Good".
The Orbi 'app' will also show the router to satellite connection in the form of a dotted line and green dot (circle?) by the satellite.
How do you determine that something has connected to the router vs. the satellite?
That Attached Devices page sometimes takes a lot longer to update than I expected it would.
Another experiment is to "forget" the Orbi WiFi (rather than turn WiFi off), then select it from the list of available networks and enter the password to connect.

Re: Just got RBK50. Devices are refusing to connect to satellite.
Botht he orbi website and orbi app both state that the satelite is connected.
I have had my wife move to the other side of the house where the signal from the satelite should absolutly be the strongest. I have checked the app and the website and they both state that everything is still on the router.
I'm at a loss. I have a less than functional paperweight that I paid good money for. I got this as I was told that it is easy to settup and works great.
