Keep router Wi-Fi on??
Would it really be a crime to have my routers Wi-Fi on, with the same settings as the orbi??
The router is in the basement, I get the occasional issue with orbi-related internet dropouts and would be good to have a backup when I’m away and can’t reboot (and it will extend the wifi a little bit)

Re: Keep router Wi-Fi on??
If the Orbi is set up well and placement is well, you shouldn't have any issues with wifi drop outs. And you should have full coverage throughout the entire home and some out side.
You could enable the wifi on the router however you need to ensure that the 2.4 and 5Ghz channels are separate and not use the same channels between the Orbi and the other router.
