Latest Firmware V2.5.0.38

I applied this latest firmware and my satellite is no longer connected. Also my attached devices is not working. It seems wonky. I'm not sure how to get my sattelite back nor do I trust what my devices are.

Is there anyway to roll this back? Or is this a known issue?

Thansks.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Was this FW update in the RBRs web page?

No not at all. I update to the lastest firmware since I've installed it, usually without a problem.

Re: Latest Firmware V2.5.0.38

Please try a factory reset on the RBR and RBS and setup from scratch. Walk thru the setup wizard.

What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too?

Re: Latest Firmware V2.5.0.38

First fo a BACKUP of the configuration to file. Then do the factory reset.

You didn't answer these questions:

Is there anyway to roll this back? Or is this a known issue?

Please try a factory reset and setup from scratch first to see if you get the system back up and running. Let us know.

No...IF your system is working fine, leave it alone.  IF a firmware has major updates in it, NG will push it to all.

Also read the release notes.

They did push it. That's why I applied it.

2 methods to FW being applied:

1.  They make it available - you see it when you login to your router and you make the decision to apply it.

2.  They push is auto and you have no control.

Re: Latest Firmware V2.5.0.38

Well I assumed that if it's available then it's okay to apply. So, I factory reset the router AND the satellite? And then factory reset the satellite? Then re add the satellite and then import the backed up config file?

Also, I downloaded the previous version I had. I guess it's a bad idea to manually update it using them?

I can no longer rename my devices through web, you make the changes and save, but it will not change

Yes, factory reset the router and satellite. Walk thru the setup wizard on the RBR and setup the system from scratch.

I'm updating mine as I type this.

The previous version will take as long as NG is not pushing a later version.

Once your system settles down, leave it alone.

Re: Latest Firmware V2.5.0.38

When you factory reset, use orbilogin.com or 192.168.1.1 in a web browser and the setup wizard will automatically start for you.

Re: Latest Firmware V2.5.0.38

So after I get the router and satellite added back in, then I can import the config file?

Re: Latest Firmware V2.5.0.38

OK, I'm going to try a differernt tact. It seems JUST the satellite is gone. Theres a button to remove it in the ATTACHED DEVICES screen. I'm going to remove it and try to resync it before doing a factory reset.
