Log into Orbi satelliteRBS50 fails
I am trying to upgrade the firmware on my Orbi RBR50 - RBS50 mesh system. I have zynced the satillite to the router (solid blue light). I can log into the router using my current user name (admin) and password. But when I try to log into the satillite the same user name and password do not work. Please help

Re: Log into Orbi satelliteRBS50 fails
I assume you do since you must upgrade the firmware on the satillite first and then the router. I went to the ip address of the satellite and it auto opened a log in screen, user name and password. but I am a novice and need all the help I can get

Re: Log into Orbi satelliteRBS50 fails
Try admin and password if you can get into the RBS.
If not, try this:
What you need to do is factory reset the RBS. Wire connect a PC to the 1st satellite. Already have the most current FW version files downloaded on to this PC.
Wire connect 1 PC to the back of the RBS. Factory reset the RBS, wait about 5 minutes. The PC will get a IP address from the satellite. The RBS will be 192.168.1.250. Use this IP address in a web browser to log in to the satellites web page. Log in as admin and password. Use the satellites web page FW update feature to select the FW update file that was unpacked from the .zip file. Then factory reset and then re-sync the satellites to the RBR.

Re: Log into Orbi satelliteRBS50 fails
Last time I updated my firmware I logged into orbi login using a web browser. Once logged in the site walked me through the process. Pretty painless. No factory reset required
