Multiple guest networks

Does Orbi support multiple guest networks? My wife and I work from home for different companies so we’d like to set up separate 5Ghz isolated networks for each of our work computers, a separate 5Ghz for personal use, and a 2.4Ghz AP for IOT devices that require it.

Re: Multiple guest networks

Orbi may be the wrong product for you.

  • Only one Guest network.  (I understand the "business Orbi" supports two, but I do not have one.)
  • Normal interface does not support different SSID's for 2.4G and 5G primary (or Guest) networks.
There is a "hack" that has enabled people to do this, but it is uncertain how long Netgear will permit the hack.
Many of us maintain that there is a "work around" that allows IoT devices to connect without resorting to the hack.

However, I do not understand the need to have separate WiFi networks for two people who "work from home".

  • Surely if they connect to a corporate network it is through a VPN (or some encrypted mechanism)?
  • Do they have separate printers?

Anyway, my "two cents".  Take it for what it's worth.
