Sorry I made a mistake in my last reply. The WAN IP of the Orbi router does begin with 192.168 i gave you the beginning of the WAN IP of the modem I am using. So the ddns I am using is giving me the external ip of the modem I have. Is it still possible to remote into my home network?

OpenVPN can work if the Hitron can be put into "bridge" or "passthrough" mode. There appear to be several models of Hitron CODA. I think you have two choices:
- Call up the ISP and tell them, "Please put my Hitron xxxx into bridge mode. I want it to be only a modem. no router. no WiFi."
- Find the Hitron user manual and learn how to log into the Hitron and make the changes yourself.
Being a dedicated computer geek, I would pick option #2 and spend hours searching and trying.
Honestly, I do not know what this will do to the DDNS. I would be prepared to set it up again or "refresh" it if things do not go smoothly.
