New Orbi shell texture - no soft texture?

I remember Orbi having a soft touch texture but the ones that I got from Costco, RBK53, has a smooth slippery plastic feel.

Anyone else got the smooth version? Just curious.

Could be a one off or either a early version or later version. I isntalled my friends RBK system he go from Cosco earlier this year. Was the soft touch textture, not smooth glossy plastic. 

There a date on the bottom sticker?

I also installed an Orbi Kit from Costco for a friend and had the soft texture around June 2018. The one I got a few days ago had FW: 2.1.4.16 installed.

Kewl, his was upgraded to same version back then. I need to check to see if his was upgraded to v210. 

Is there a sticker on yours with any Mfr Dates listed?

Nothing about manufactured date.

Thanks, could be that Netgear has changed the texture on later versions as I see from new reviews for Orbi in Youtube has glossy finish.
