Not getting more than 100 mbps speed ( Orbi Router RBR 50 )

Hello I have Orbi Router RBR 50. Though I have a 300Mbps speed internet line, my router is allowing me only 100mbps. Is this model capable of 100 Mbps only or is there any setting I need to look into to address the speed issues

  • Check your network patch cable between your modem and RBR50 WAN port.  It should be CAT5e or CAT6 to handle gigabit speed.  CAT5 may only handle 100Mb/s speed.

You can also login to your routers web interface at http://orbilogin.com and click the Advanced Tab and then click the "Show Statistics" button.  Verify that this page shows 100M/FULL for the status of your WAN link.

I would try swapping the LAN2 cable that shows it has 1000M/FULL with the WAN cable to see if fixes the issue.  You may have a bad network patch cable.
