I was having trouble with intermittent drop outs on my wifi. I did a search, and thinking I was connected to Netgear started chatting with tech support. I ended up on the phone with the technician and gave him access to my computer. He claims he is from Nsolution and they provide contract support to Netgear. Has anyone heard of this company and its association with Netgear?

Yes, you have been "had". The only way to contact Netgear is through the actual Netgear web site. Not through some link served up by Bing, Google, etc.

How does Webroot work
Searched for Netgear support and ended up chatting with NSolutions who said they were subcontractors supporting Netgear. That probably is not true. I purchased Webroot security software from them as a solution to protecting my Orbi home network. They say it somehow protects all devices on my network using IP security. After asking multiple times for an explantion I gave up. Can someone here tell me what Webroot is and if it does indeed protect my network? Thanks in advance for your help.

Re: How does Webroot work
Totally been had.
It turns out that there is an actual Webroot company, but there are fraudulent ones.
hopefully, if you actually installed webroot, it was a legit version and not a scam one.
Here's from their actual site on others impersonating their product.
