ORBI Modem to Satellite Connection
Question about installing an additional Satellite. I have an Orbi RBR40 Router. I currently have 2 wireless satellites in my house. I am looking to adding one satellite to my shop (approx 100 ft away). I have an ethernet cable running from my Router to my shop. Can an additional Satellite be connected via ethernet cable? Which Satellite is recommended? The satellites I have in my house are RBS20.

Re: ORBI Modem to Satellite Connection
Yes.
I would disable Daisy Chain on the RBR first. Be sure to wirelessly sync the new RBS and make sure it's updated to same version of FW as what you are currently using. Once thats done, then wire connect the RBS.

Re: ORBI Modem to Satellite Connection
Would I just buy a new RBS20 or the RBS50? I noticed the RBS20 only has 2 ethernet ports. I am guessing one would be used for the ethernet in, leaving only one for a hard wired connection to my tv. But the RBS50 has 4 ports. But not sure if the RBS50 is compatible with my router.

Re: ORBI Modem to Satellite Connection
Yes Or you could get a RBS40v with voice or can connect up EX7700 or 8000 in wired AP mode as well.
