Welp, anyone have any notes on this thing? It's already downloaded to my router and satellite waiting for me to pull the pin.

Hi,
Just for information, when you're in the Firmware Update page and it downloads new firmware to install, the version number next to both the router and the satellite is a clickable link.
If you click the link, it will show you the release notes of all changes between your currently installed firmware and the update.
Although, this "feature" is not hidden, it's not always obvious that it's there either.

Keep checking the download web site for posted release notes...if your system is running with out any problems, I'd hold off for now.

I'll take this opportunity to test Firmware auto-update. I've disabled it via Orbi UI. Let's see what happens next!
Current Version: | V2.3.1.48 |
New Version: | V2.3.1.60 |
Release Notes: [Bug Fix] Fixes issues with the guest network control using Alexa. [Bug Fix] Includes security fixes.

Re: Orbi Firmware 2.3.1.60
Where do you get this firmware? The downloads page seems to show only version 2.3.1.48.

Re: Orbi Firmware 2.3.1.60
I presume this version maybe for only the 50 series Orbi. 40, 30 and 20 series may not be available as of yet on there web page.
It's not available for download on NGs download web site pages currently. I presume NG will be making the files available soon.

Also about 30 minute in after upgrade by clicking "upgrade all". Smooth. Now we wait for family bitching 🙂

Re: Orbi Firmware 2.3.1.60
To whom it may concern:
I am an hour into hitting "Update All". Both still say "Updating". I really wish Netgear had released this update for manual processing. I'd feel a whole lot better about it.

Re: Orbi Firmware 2.3.1.60
To whom it may concern:
It finally finished. Of course, I had to logout of the "Updating" session to see it. You'd think Netgear would show that the Router and Satellite actually finished updating rather than just saying it was.

After hitting the "Update All" button, everything came back online in ~10mins.
Orbi/Satellites Backhaul Status looks good:

Re: Orbi Firmware 2.3.1.60
Even with telnet enabled, I'm now unable to telnet in when I could before. Clearly nothing changed for you! Strange... I simply get an error
[Could not create a new process and open a pseudo-tty.]
I'm on Apple Macos 10.14.4 - perhaps apple has made it impossible in its updating. Anyone have success with an apple?
