Orbi Multiple Products

I went through the Setup Wizard again on my Orbi, and on the Orbi app (iOS), under Your Proiducts, I see 2 listed:

-RBR20 COnnected locally

-RBR20 Connected via Anywhere Access, Serial # xxxx 

When I toggle between the two, they are identical.

I did not experience this before doing the Setup Wizard again.

Aslo, is there any way to remove an attached device? I have one that I can't figure out what it is, and want to just get rid of it (I assume it's some legacy device that somehow popped back up.)

This indicates that there is a device in the house somewhere that knows the Orbi SSID/password and has connected.  The correct way to make it "go away" is to disconnect it from the Orbi WiFi or power it off.

Since it is not obvious which device this is, one suggestion is to go into the Orbi Advanced Tab, Security, Access Control and

• Set Access Control to "On"
• Select that device (by clicking on the circle next to it)
• Click "Block"
• Click "Apply"

This will disconnect the device from the Internet.  Eventually someone will say something like

• "Hey, the sprinklers aren't working any more"
• "Hey, the TV in the back bedroom doesn't stream Netflix anymore"
• "Hey, Alexa can't turn the floor lamp on anymore"
• or....

Just personally, I would at least copy the MAC address of this device and look up the manufacturer on a web site such as

https://www.wireshark.org/tools/oui-lookup.html  Maybe the manufacturer that made the WiFi chip will be a clue as to which device this is.

Thanks. If I knew which device it was, I would cut that sucker off! But alas, I do not.

I looked up the MAC address and it is an unknown manufacturer. Thus explaining the "device unknown" moniker.

We don't have many connected devices, only 10 or so total, so it's easy to eliminate what it could be.

We do have one device - an Apple HomePod - that I know is connected to my network, but does not show up on the Orbi list of attached devices. But the unknown device is not the HomePod.

I blocked it, but I'd rerally just like to delete it completely. Can't see how to do that.
