Orbi NBK50 not recognized by older Samsung Smart TV
Orbi AC3000 Wifi Router isn't recognized by an older Samsung Series 7 Smart TV. The Smart TV doesn't even identify the new WiFi nework. The TV supports IEEE 802.11 a/b/g and n comm. protocol. Thinkin...
I'm convinced the issue is on the TV side as well. I reset the Samsung TV to the factory defaults. Upon restart the TV recognized numerous Wifi networks including the Orbi. I selected the Orbi, pressed "Next" and the TV wouldn't transition to the next step. I sort of patiently waited but nothing happened. I went back to the previous step and then had it search again and it found nothing. I've done a factory reset several more times and I get nothing. So frustrating. I do have a Netgear Powerline ethernet device nearby. I would have to purchase a switch for it because it's only single port. My other thought is getting a Firestick or similar device because I have zero confidence that I can get the TV Wifi to work.

yup....the firestick may be your best fix. in your original post i noted you said 'old' tv. maybe too old..?? but it did work with your other router? the major difference between the 2 routers is that the orbi combines the wifi signals
i have a non-smart tv and use a firestickk on it and that works fine.
