Orbi RBK 50 - new ISP can't login with "non-English word" username

Very confused here. Switched to a new ISP today and the username is a string of letters and numbers, which is the password, followed by an @ symbol and then the server information which is the NBN here in Australia. I've tried Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and all three of them ping me an error when I try to log in that says "invalid login name, can't accept non-english words!" And the only option I've got is an okay button, which just dumps me back out to the basic Internet setup screen. Never had this problem before, any suggestions, because the next thing I'm going to have to do is switch internet providers again I suspect which is painful

OK, solution in case anyone finds this by searching on the error I listed - the ISP provided the login name and the password, but they had a space at the end of the username (and not the password, so they know how to do this properly), so if you just dragged across the username to copy-and-paste it got picked up, but because it's a LONG username, you didn't see it in the Netgear login section unless you hit "end" on the keyboard, basically. Once I removed that, it all worked as expected.

What is this " ping me an error"? (The ping word has a specific meaning, which is probably not what you have in mind.)

Tried to do what?

What says  "invalid login name"?

The login to the router with a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI), if that is what you mean, has nothing to do with the login to the ISP

Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
