Orbi RBK40 & RBS50Y Compatibility
I have an Apple Airport Time Capsule that provide good coverage for most of my house, there are a few dead zones that I have wired ethernet (1GbE) close to and i also have low signal and throughput in my backyard. I really have two objectives;
- I would like to run an Orbi in Access Point Mode to provide coverage to the dead spots -AND-
- I would like to improve the wireless signal in my backyard.
I wanted to know if i could:
- Use the RBK40 - AC2200 to provide an access point for my existing apple time capsule network using ethernet backhaul -AND-
- If needed use the RBS50Y - Outdoor Satellite with the RBK40 routher
thank you,

Re: Orbi RBK40 & RBS50Y Compatibility
You'll need to check with Apple to see if the Time capsule can be configured using LAN cableing. If it has a RJ45 LAN port, then I presume so.
The RBS50Y will connect to the RBR40 router for out door wifi support.

Re: Orbi RBK40 & RBS50Y Compatibility
I would run the Orbi wifi only and not use the Apple wifi. This could cause additional interferences...
