Orbi RBK50 daisy chain or line of sight
I currently have a Netgear AC1200 router in my home and would like to extend coverage to my barn which is about 125 feet away. I receive a faint 1 to 2 bar signal at the outside of the barn currently. If I can improve the range from the router so that I get 3 bars or more at the barn then I can put an extender in the barn. After comparing Orbi vs Nighthawk (x4, x6, x10) the reviews seem to indicate that all of these routers can reach 150 feet (direct line of sight). I have 1 sheet rock wall between the router and the outside. For simplicity, I am leaning toward the Orbi because if the router to the satellite is 125' (1 sheet rock wall in between) and I can get a signal than I should be able to get coverage inside the barn. If I can't get a signal, then possibly I can install an Orbi outdoor extender at the outside of the building with the router and daisy chain from that extender to the satellite at the barn. So, it would be router to outdoor extender to satellite at the barn. The simplest configuration is 1 orbi router and 1 satellite at the barn. But if I can't get a reliable signal over the 125' distance between router and satellite is it technically possible to put the outdoor extender in between the router and satellite? Asking before I purchase because $300 for the outdoor extender is steep. TIA. (Note: unable to run cable between my house and barn because there is a 20 foot wide concrete driveway that runs between the buildings).

Re: Orbi RBK50 daisy chain or line of sight
For that kind of distance, daisy chain would be recommened. That distance is a bit far as 50-60' is about max distance for RBR or RBS and with 30 feet minimum distance in between the RBR and RBS as to not cause too much over lap.
Something to consider as well.
Run a ethernet LAN cable out from the home to the barn then place a RBS or just a standard wired AP out in the barn that can be using different SSID name and PW or same as host router at the house.
or try a wifi air bridge product:

Re: Orbi RBK50 daisy chain or line of sight
I agree with @FURRYe38 that connecting to a WiFi access point that is 125' away is unlikely to be satisfactory. If all you want to do is check email, perhaps. Stream video? No chance.
I agree that burying 125' of outdoor, 'burial' ethernet cable is a "job". There are people who will gladly bore under the driveway. Check out this fun video: https://www.borit.com/blogs/news/51099331-save-money-digging-under-sidewalks-and-driveways
Ironically, the cost of the direct burial Cat6 ethernet cable is minor compared to the cost of penetrating two buildings, trenching 125' (and under the driveway), laying conduit (if something happens to the cable, you do NOT want to trench again!), installing the cable, terminating, etc.
The only reason to purchase the expensive RBS50Y is if you want to penetrate the house wall and mount it "outside". The signal still has to carry 125' and penetrate the barn wall.
I am more a fan of a WiFi point to point bridge. Netgear makes one, as @FURRYe38 referenced. There are less expensive options, depending on what total throughput you want. If your needs are modest, Ubiquiti's "Nano Station" products cost under $100/pair and can be mounted inside. (Check out the cute "window mount" where you stick it on the inside of the window.) If their ratios will carry 5km or 15km, they will certainly penetrate a barn wall. A package of two LocoAC units that provides 450mb performance is about $150.
I have no personal experience with Ubiquity. Almost every networking manufacturer sells "point to point bridge" products (including Netgear).
You might spend a few minutes reading the "Amazon reviews" of some WiFi bridge products.
