Orbi RBR-50 Bricked?
I know this topic has several associated posts, many of which I have followed, but I'm stumped about how I can get my Orbi working again.
It has been faultlessly working for many years until I moved the system to a new location for my work. I set it up at the new location, and it worked well, but when I returned home and plumbed it back in, it failed to operate.
- I have tried all the different factory reset methods with no success.
- I have flashed the firmware successfully with both PC and Mac and have tried many different versions.
- Currently, I have flashed it to the first version using a PC.
- I can ping the router, and it responds. I got an IP dealt to my machine, which is always 192.168.1.4
The problem comes when I want to set up the system. I cannot log into the web browser UI (I've tried three browsers on my Mac and cleared history/cache).
If I try to set it up with the iPhone app, when I try and connect to the self-made Orbi network, it just says, "Unable to join the network".
I feel I'm close to success, but each time I try something new, it leads me to think it will work but then fails.
Dumping a once very operational system seems silly, but I'm struggling to know what to do next. Can anyone help?
Many thanks for considering my request.

Re: Orbi RBR-50 Bricked?
You should be using most current version of FW, not 1st version. Possbile corrupted FW parition could occur going back that far.
If you can get most current version back on and the RBR running, try a 30-30-30 reset on the RBR then see if the web page setup wizard appears at 192.168.1.1. If this doesn't work, then possible the RBR is busted.

Re: Orbi RBR-50 Bricked?
Thanks for your quick input. I flashed the Router with the latest Firmware and performed the 30-30-30 rest, but I still cannot connect.
It takes a while for the Orbi to assign my computer an IP (always 192.168.1.4), and when it does, I can ping the router with no packet loss. However, with every browser I try to log in with (after clearing the cache), I get the same response:
Unable to connect
An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.1
I've tried many things, but I think it's dead. The annoying bit about it is that it worked so well until I moved it! Who knows how it got bricked?
I will move on to a new Mesh system and call this one a day.
