Orbi RBR40 integration with Google Assistant

Hi, I have an Orbi RBR40 with 2 satellites Firmware shows as 2.0.0.56 with no update available.  I have just set up my Netgear account to work with Google assistant and whilst I can "talk to netgear" and get responses, all the responses are "Your netgear router is offline, make sure your netgear router is connected...."  As i'm accessing this page through the router it clearly is online, can any one offer any thoughts?

Managed to sort this out, slightly embarrassing really,  there is remote management which I had enabled but there is also remote access which appears to be on the Genie app only.  Once that was turned on Google and Netgear play nicely together!  Thanks for all help and advice.

I'd contact NG support about this. Maybe a Google issue as well.

Are you able to remote manage the Orbi using Orbi app on 3/4G ?
I assume you have enabled remote management.

Hi, thanks for the response, remote management is enabled and I can connect and login via my phone on 3/4G,

How is Orbi connected to the internet ?
And I assume you have linked the Netgear and Google accounts via assistant ?

Hi Orbi is connected to a VM (UK) router in modem mode.  I linked the accounts from the Google Home app, explore, search for Netgear and add the account details.  Seems to work ok connecting from Google to the Netgear account as I hear the Netgear "this is what you can do .." speech when I ask Google to talk to Netgear.

I know I had issues first setting mine up at start and it drove me up the wall.

I have mine in AP mode linked to Sky Hub 2

Try this firmware

I know others have issues with the 18 firmware but I have not had any.

Working well for me on my 40 series model.

Factory reset and set up from scratch is needed.
