Orbi RBR50 and Beyond - Do the newer Orbi models provide relief for ATT users?
I have an Orbi RBR50 with the AC3000 Router. The only way I could originally get it to play nice with my ATT Modem was to use the Orbi in A/P mode. However, the functionality of the router is limited in A/P mode as I am unable to use Circle or Armour.
Can any of the newer Orbi models function as a modem/ router so I can ditch the A/P mode and use Circle?
Thanks

The only Orbi model that works as a modem/router is the CBK40 that has a built in modem.
The Orbi AX doesn't have a built in modem. Not sure if NG will be doing this. They only have The Orbi 8 series routers which work as routers or in AP mode.
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. You can try option #2...
