Orbi RBR50 constantly dropping internet
Had this problem months ago. WIth help from this forum, it was working but suddenly is contantly rebooting again.
Size of home roughly 2500 sq ft.
Distance 20+ feet not counting elevation between floors.
2.4 is on channel 11.
5 is on 48
One neighbor probably 100+ feet away. Desktop next to RBR barely picks up the signal.
Firmware 2.3.5.30. Rebooted after loading. Did a hard reset on the router too.
Beamforming, MIMO and WMM are enabled
Daisy-Chain, Backhaul and Fast Roaming are off. IPv6 is disabled.
ISP is Spectrum
Modem is ARRIS TM1602
In fact, dumped out on me as I hit post. Kudos to the load/autosave feature on this board.
Any suggestions?

- Does this issue happen with wireless devices or also with wired?
- When this happens to wireless devices, does the devices loose wifi connection or just internet?
- Please chech the “Obtained ISP lease time” that you can find in the web GUI under >> ADVANCED >> ADVANCED Home >> Connection Status.

So, knock on wood it's been up since I posted. It lost connectivity and rebooted within 5 minutes after the hard reset and changing the default settings and I posted immediately after it came up. It's been up since.
FWIW, when it was failing it felt like it lost internet, recycled a few times and then the wireless would go away too. Both wired and wireless devices were impacted.
Maybe I have an older version of the GUI by the lease data I see is:
Lease Obtained 1 Days, 0 Hours, 0 Minutes Lease Expires 0 Days, 12 Hours, 35 Minutes
Thanks!

This is normal. To prevent excessive network traffic, most stable networks hand out DHCP leases for one day. I believe the standard is for a device to 'renew' the lease when it is 50% expired. So, I would not be surprised to hear that not very long after seeing 12 hours left, you would suddenly see 23 hours.
