Orbi Wi Fi router work with Sonic Internet provider? Will it replace the router they provided?
Looking at the Orbi AC2200 RBK33but want to confirm if it will Work with my Sonic Internet service with Gig speed to my house connected via fiber, do I need to keep my old router a PACE model 5268AC? Would it connet to the existing router anr directly to the ethernet connection from Sonic Internet?
If some is using Sonic Internet I would be interested in your results.

Yes you'll need to keep the ISP modem/router combo unit.
Modem Combo Units:
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Re: Orbi Wi Fi router work with Sonic Internet provider? Will it replace the router they provided?
I plugged my Orbi router directly into the small, Sonic installed, fiber optic box on the wall with the original orbi ethernet cable (read to do that somewhere). The Orbi wi-fi network I set up while using comcast showed up right away. NO need for the PACE router as a bridge. So far its working and my wi-fi speeds seem better than when we had comcast.

Furry's info is incorrect for Fiber.
For Sonic fiber, yes, you can plug the router directly into the ONT - Optical Network Terminal. This is the small box that will convert the fiber optic to RJ-45 Ethernet.
You may need to call them once and tell them to clear any cached into on their end for previous routers connected. A table is built with the MAC addresses of what is connected and once that table fills, it needs to be clearly manually. They will be helpful though and be happy to do this for you.
Once you have this set up, you can send back the 'rental' modem they provide. They will likely push back on that a bit - but, you really won't need it.
