No.
You would need the Orbi router to have a wired connection to the R6300 using Ethernet if you want to use both R6300 and the Orbi and put one of the Orbi router or R6300 in access point mode.
The Orbi Satellite connects to the Orbi router only.

Re: Orbi and other Routers
Hello MightyT
Can you be more specific with the question? Are you asking if you can connect the orbi to existing routers?

Re: Orbi and other Routers
Hello MightyT
Yes you can either use orbi as your main router and connect the R6300 to it and make it a access point or you can connect the orbi to the R6300 and make it a access point.

Re: Orbi and other Routers
OK, so it sounds like I can continue to use my NETGEAR R6300 Router downstairs and set up an Orbi Satelite upstairs and get the greater coverage upstairs I am looking for as if I have to Orbi's.
Thanks!

Re: Orbi and other Routers
so does that mean that if I put the Orbi router in AP mode, it takes on the IP addressing scheme of my router which is handingout 192.168.0.x IP addresses. I want to make sure that the Orbi is on the same IP address network as all my devices on my network. Please confirm is that is correct.
thanks!

Re: Orbi and other Routers
Hello sapaulsen
Yes if in AP mode the main router it is connected to would handle the DHCP and assign the IP address.
