Orbi can't login to CBS
I cannot login to CBS all access through the Orbi. I have tried https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/Orbi-Blocking-Websites-Solved/td-p/1677125 Tried using a different DNS server, no luck ...

I did try both 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8, and it didn't make any difference.
The Charter modem only has a single ethernet port.
I don't think it is a Charter issue with CBS. If I use my old router, I don't have this problem.

One easy thing to check is the DNS servers. On the PC, do you know how to go into the Control Panel, select the networking device, and change the "Properties" for the IPv4 settings to "Use these DNS Servers"? You can pick one of the public ones, such as 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8.
If you have not spent a lot of time customizing the Orbi, and the Charter/Spectrum device is not "only a modem", you could try to switch the Orbi into Access Point mode. This is on the Orbi web interface (http://orbilogin.net). Click on the Advanced Tab, Advanced Settings, Router/AP Mode.
The easy way to tell is if the Charter/Spectrum device has only one ethernet jack on the back. That makes it "only a modem" and the Orbi must be configured as a router. If there are four or more jacks, it is almost certainly a modem/router.
Google searche turns up LOTS of complaints within the past week about Roku and CBS All Access. I did not see any (yet) about Charter/Spectrum and CBS.

Just an update. I switched to AP Mode, and used my Asus router, and I can log in fine. I disable the wireless on my ASUS router, so I only have the Orbi wireless enable, and I can log into the site. This is not how I want to use the system. I bought the Orbi for a reason, and it seems a waste not to be able to use all of the features.

You are entirely correct. And, it appears that I have lost sight of my "Prime Directive". "If a problem costs less than $25 to investigate, I should do so." I have a box full of Internet of Things (IoT) devices that I purchased when people said they could not connect to Orbi. (They all do.) When I have my wits about me, I will sign up for CBS All Access at the monthly rate and capture the internet traffic to "see what happens." Best case is MY Orbi also fails and I can look for a cause. (If I can figure out how to cancel in under a week, I guess it will be "free".)
Are you subscribed to the "ads" or "no-adds" plan?

Thanks for your help. I am signed up to a two month trial of the no ad plan.

I subscribed to the CBS All Access trial using my FireTV stick (using the CBS app, no ads) and had no issues. I also can access it using my Windows laptops with the browser. I do not have a Roku. My Orbi RBR50 is in router mode, and I am using my ISPs default DNS servers.

Well, the mystery continues. I just signed up for CBS All Access "No Ads". Was able to log in and view video from Windows 10 PC using Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Opera browsers. I did this with the computer using Orbi for DNS and also using Pi-hole for DNS. Chrome and Firefox on a Linux laptop also worked (using Pi-hole for DNS). Browsers on my Android tablet had no problem signing in to CBS All Access, but when I tried to stream video they wanted to load the CBS "app". So, CBS All Access login works for tomschmidt and me. I have a Roku in a box somewhere, but since your issue mainfests using a web browser, digging out the Roku does not seem to be a useful endeavor (at this time).
Since it works when connected directly to the modem or to a different router, this just gets "odder and odder." I am no longer using firmware 2.3.5.30, but that firmware has been "stable" since last summer (and I have one Orbi RBR50 that remains on 2.3.5.30 until I can get on a plane to visit it).
The question boils down to "what is different about your Orbi than our Orbi's?"
- Armor is disabled (but once was enabled?). I have never activated Armor, even for a trial.
- Disney Circle? (I have never activated it, even for a test.)
- Under Orbi Security I have Block Sites - Never. Block Services - Never.
- My firmware is 2.5.1.8. Tom's is ???. Your firmware is 2.3.5.30.
Can you please explain more about this statement:
"It only affects the login. If I connect to a different network to login, then I can switch back to the Orbi and still stream."

I am at a bit of a loss. It was working when I switched back to my old router for a few hours, then I started having the same issue again. I am using my old router with the wireless turned off, and the Orbi in AP Mode. I even tried using a VPN to log into the site, but had the same results. If I turn the hotspot on my phone on and connect my laptop, I have no issues logging in.

Well, that does sort of change the focus. One thing I did notice is that all of my browsers kept me "logged in" to CBS All Access even when I closed the tweb browser. That seems to indicate that the browser was storing a cookie (or some other dessert) and "remembered me" when I reopened the browser. I had to specifically "Log Out" to check the Login process.
If you can log in on the laptop when connected to the phone hot spot, then go back to the Orbi connection and stream videos, this changes my focus to the ISP. How about this test:
Deliberately "Log Out" and close the browser. Then, connect the laptop directly to the ISP modem and see if it can log in.
If so, repeat with the previous modem. (Log Out. Close browser. Connect to router. Attempt to log in.)

I connected to my phone's hotspot and logged in, then switch back to my ISP, and I was able to stream fine. I logged out and could not log back in on my ISP. I can't connect my laptop to my modem right now, kids are streaming a movie. I did try that last night, and it worked. That is one of the reason I thought it was an Orbi issue.

When the Orbi is in Access Point (AP) mode, it "does very little" besides handle the WiFi network. DHCP, DNS, security... all that stuff is turned off. All it does it pass packets.

I know that's why I am so confused.
So I went ahead and switched my Orbi back to router mode. Took my old router out of the equation. Rebooted everything, and now I can log into CBS again. Same thing I did last night, which worked for about three hours before cutting out again. We'll see how long it lasts this time.

Any chance did you ever figure out why Orbi is blocking the site? I'm having the same problem now with my company's web site that I work on (https). Out of the blue, it just stopped loading the site. If I plug directly into the modem, I can access it. Orbi is the problem but I haven't found a solution.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?Do you have any Armor or Circle features enabled on the RBR?

I never did figure it out. I reset the router and modem, and didn't try to log in again for 24 hours, then I was able to log in again. I got logged into CBS on my Roku, and then left it alone. It seemed to stay logged in after that.
