Orbi handing out gateway in AP mode
Hey all,
Recently my orbi has been giving me issues. Ive had set in AP mode since the start with no problems, and then got a satelite to exeted the connection over two warehoueses. Everything was great until it wasnt, I belive what triggered it was switching DHCP servers but im not sure. Anyway the issue is that even though I am in AP mode either the Orbi router or the Satelite is handing out DHCP and a gateway. A handful of my endpoints now attempt to get DHCP through either one but fail.
Network set up
Office Vlan - 10.10.41.1/24
- Orbi AP at 10.10.41.231 Firmware V2.3.5.26
- Orbi Satilite at 10.10.41.49
Random gateway 192.168.1.1

Is there a significance to term "Vlan"? Orbi's have no capacity for nor understanding of VLAN's.
When the Orbi is in AP mode, it has no ability to respond to DHCP requests, nor does the satellite.
I suspect there is another DHCP server on the network that is responding to DHCP broadcasts.
The post did not specify the subnet of the IP address that these devices get. Is it in 10.10.41 or in 192.168.1?
Is this behavior repeatable? i.e. the same devices (and only these devices) get the invalid gateway address every time they join the network? My approach would be to capture the LAN/WAN traffic through the Orbi router, dump it into Wireshark and display all the DHCP packets. This will reveal the IP and MAC address of the DHCP server that is responding.
I neglected to validate obvious assumptions: (a) these devices are connected to the Orbi, and (b) they are set to get IP, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS using DHCP?
