Orbi with satellites

I know that the Orbi rouder needs to be hardwired to the modem. My question is, can the satellite units connect to the WiFi signal wirelessly from the router to extend the network. The locations that I would like to place the satellite units in does not have ethernet cabeling.

Thats how most people use it.

Wireless connection between the Orbi router and the Orbi satellites.
