Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
I have router RBK50 and 3 satellite RBS50. After installation this version 2.1.4+ Homekit everything seems more stable and Homekit is generally more responsive (I have 100+ homekit devices).

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
I downloaded the firmware files per the links provided (RBS50-V2.1.4.10-0430-dbg.img and RBR50-V2.1.4.10-0430-dbg.img). However when I go to upload load (I am using the manual firmeware instruction provided) the satellite formware I get the following message:
This firmware file is incorrect! Please get the firmware file again and make sure it is the correct firmware for this product.
My router and satellites are on V2.1.4.10 currently. Any ideas? I have 35 homekit device so this issue is killing me.

Delete the RBS download and redo the download. It worked OK for me.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
I have installed this firmware and so far HomeKit is back to working and stable. Most are iHome smart plugs and will keep an eye on the stability. I did power cycle all devices and router/satellites.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
Thank you for starting to fix issues however I and a lot of people would like to see the opportunity to turn off auto firmware updates please do not let that go unheard. I will test this this weekend when I will be home to makes sure to keep a close eye on it.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
I updated 2 RBS50s and my RBR50 without issue, and (so far) HomeKit devices are more stable.
HOWEVER, many of my HomeKit devices are connected to an RBS50Y - so I'd appreciate updated firmware for the Outdoor Orbi ASAP.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
Ok, I re-downloaded the firmware files, but needed to restart the satellites and router before they could be installed. However after the reboot, the install went as described in the instructions. With the new firmware, my Homekit seems stable. I'll have to see how my automations run over the next couple of days or so.
Netgear,
If you haven't already, invest in some homekit hardware and test before releasing! That being said, thank you for the firmware patch.

Please include RBK30 ASAP.
The whole manual downgrade/auto upgrade dance is EXHAUSTING.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
After upgrading RBR50 and RBS5, no devices will connect to my RBS50Y, which is of course still stuck on 2.1.36.
HomeKit devices connected to my RBR50/RBS50 do indeed appear more stable. But my Outdoor Orbi is essentially useless. Router GUI shows it’s connected as a satellite via 5G, but nothing will connect.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
I have the RBK22. Would I need to download RBR20 and RBS20 firmware to fix this or is there an RBK22 firmware? I'm a little confused on that. Thanks.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
I was having all sorts of problems reliably printing to my Brother 2360D when it was asleep, which was unusual.
I forgot about the firmware v2.1.4.10 which I was running, because everything was working so well for me.
I applied this update and it's working again.
I don't really use HomeKit so I did not think it was related, but I guess it was. Hope this information helps someone else.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
Hello! The new Orbi software DID hose my HomeKit. I've been problem solving for days now - most of my devices say "no response."
I'm pleased to see that there is a hot fix out, but my MacBook doesnt actually have an ethernet port, and I don't have a dongle, so what do I do?
How many days before a permanent fix is out, that will upload over the air?

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
Chad,
Just download the img file(s) to your Mac, login to your Orbi, Advanced, Administration, Firmware Update, Manual. Do the sat first, when it’s rebooting do the router. No dongle or hard connection needed. It’s working great for me. Good Luck.

Re: OrbiOS 2.1.4 + Homekit
Great! I did it and it worked. (Some article said it needed an ethernet connection.)
