Quick Orbi Access Point question
Hi
I'm going to set my Orbi Router up as an Access point and use it with my 24 port switch. I plan to have ethernet backhaul from the Satellites due to the building structure.
Simple enough question, which configuration from below works best ?
Option 1:
Fibre Modem/Router -> Orbi (as an AP) -> 24 port Switch -> Orbi Satellites
OR
Option 2:
Fibre Modem/Router into 24 Port Switch -> 24 Port Switch then Connects into Orbi and Satellites
OR
Option 3:
Two Ethernet connections from Fibre Modem/Router, into Switch AND into Orbi
Hope this is simple enough, just want to ensure the satellites don't get confused when connecting back to the Orbi as an access point. I want to use Cat 6 to connect satellites to Orbi where possible.
Thanks
Mark

Re: Quick Orbi Access Point question
Depending on segmentation and how you want the Orbi and switch connected, option 1 or 2.
Never option 3.
